2010 Road Work
Road work is scheduled to begin July 26 weather permitting.
The following roads will be affected:

  • Canterbury
  • Sherry
  • Berkshire
  • Fairfax
  • Portion of Brandy

During this time all vehicles, trailers, etc can not be parked on the roadways.
During the first phase they will scarified the road (tear up the existing road and mix it with gravel) in order to form a base for the new road. Residents will drive on this for a month in order to pack it down. During the second phase they will tar and chip the road. It is advised that residents don’t drive on the road at that time.

Ryan has been in contact with Tazewell County Asphalt about repairing the roads from last year; they still have not confirmed when they will do this. We are still holding their money so hopefully they will be back soon.

Thank you for understanding.

A GREAT idea for all!

We have a suggestion for keeping our H/L area beautiful.  We’d like to challenge all  of the walkers who are exercising for good health to join in.  Peggy and I use this exercise time to pick up trash along the way, we picked up approximately 5# today.  It’s easy – just carry a plastic bag and pick up anything along the way i.e. paper, plastic bottles, cans and etc. and dispose of it properly.

This is our lake area, let’s be proud of it and keep it beautiful!
