Anyone who wishes to join is invited to attend. The group will meet the first Saturday of each month to plan events and activities for the upcoming month.

Chili Cook-Off  A great event with many friendly neighborhood rivalries.  Bring in a pot of chili and there is no entry fee.  The prize categories are:  “Hot, Yet Tasty”, “Best Overall” and “Most Unusual”.  It is $2.00 to taste and free if you bring a pot of chili.  Bring the family and your favorite beverage.  The Chili Cook-Off is held at the lodge on a Saturday in February and starts at 5:30.

Pot Luck Supper  We provide the Lodge and, weather permitting, outdoor games.  You provide the culinary delights.  Bring your family, place settings, your favorite potluck special and beverage, and come out and visit friends or meet new neighbors.  The Pot Luck Supper is held at the lodge on a Saturday in April and starts at 5:30.

Weenie Roast  This is a great fall event.  Weenies, chips and place settings are provided.  If you want to bring a dish to pass, you may but it is not required to attend.  Bring your family and your favorite beverage.  A free hayrack ride is also a part of the family fun experience.  The weenie roast is usually held at the Beach Pavilion on a Saturday in October and starts at 5:30.

Volleyball League
The Volleyball League at Heritage Lake is open to all Heritage Lake members and their guests.  Teams are formed in advance of league play but substitutes are often needed and are many times drawn from observers.  Everyone is welcome to come to the Beach area on Wednesday evenings in the summer to watch league play and enjoy a night outside at the lake.

Heritage Lake Garage Sales Coordinators
Two community garage sales are held each year at Heritage Lake – one in the spring (usually April) and one in the fall (usually September).  These sales have become a bi-annual tradition and draw people from all over central Illinois to shop, eat, and enjoy the day.  Heritage Lake residents participate by cleaning out clutter, setting up a sale and making some money!!  A $5 advertising fee is collected from each participant.  This pays for advertising in local newspapers and duplication of sale maps which includes a list of items for sale.

How to participate in the sale  Announcements and forms are made available a few weeks prior to the sales.  You can complete the form and submit your $5 payment to the appropriate coordinator.
